On Saturday, ten of our footballers had an incredible experience attending the Hartlepool vs Throston match. Their goal? To take part in the halftime penalty shootout and earn a spot in the EFL Kids Cup Final after the game.
Despite horrendous weather conditions, the boys showed fantastic skill and determination, winning the penalty challenge and securing their place in the next round. It was a brilliant achievement and a testament to their hard work and team spirit.
Unfortunately, the EFL Kids Cup Final had to be cancelled due to the pitch becoming almost unplayable. While this was a disappointment, we couldn’t be prouder of how the children handled the situation. They made the most of the day, cheering on Hartlepool to a 3-1 victory and enjoying the atmosphere of a great match.
The next round of penalties and the rearranged final will take place in the new year, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve next!
