Faith, Compassion and Global Citizenship at St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Stockton
This week, St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Stockton was delighted to welcome representatives from CAFOD for a wonderful afternoon filled with learning, reflection and inspiration. The visit brought our whole school community together to explore how faith in action can help create a fairer and kinder world.
A Thought‑Provoking Whole‑School Assembly
The afternoon began with a special assembly led by CAFOD, where children learned about global justice, compassion and the real‑life stories of people whose lives have been transformed through charitable action. The message was clear: even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Interactive Workshops Across the School
Throughout the afternoon, CAFOD visited classrooms to deliver engaging workshops for Year 2, Nursery, Reception and Year 5. Pupils explored:
- How communities around the world support one another
- Ways we can care for our planet and each other
- The importance of hope, fairness and empathy
- How simple everyday actions can help build a better future
The children listened beautifully, asked thoughtful questions and demonstrated the caring spirit that makes St Patrick’s such a special place.
A Heartfelt Thank You to CAFOD
We are incredibly grateful to CAFOD for spending the afternoon with us and helping our pupils understand how faith, kindness and action can change lives. Their visit encouraged our children to think deeply, act compassionately and recognise the power they have to make a positive impact.
Growing Together as One School Family
Days like this remind us of the strength we have when we learn, grow and support one another as one family of faith. We look forward to continuing our mission to live out kindness and compassion in all we do.
