A School Filled With Stories, Costumes and Creativity
From the moment the day began, the atmosphere was buzzing. Children and staff arrived in an array of creative costumes inspired by favourite characters - from beloved classics to modern story favourites.
Story sessions, shared reading moments and book-themed activities filled the school with warmth and enthusiasm.
Days like this remind us what makes St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Stockton such a caring, supportive and vibrant community.
Year 6 Buddy Readers Spread the Magic
One of the most heartwarming moments of the day came when our Year 6 pupils visited younger classes to share picture books.
The older children were fantastic role models — reading beautifully, offering encouragement and showing genuine kindness.
Our younger pupils absolutely loved having a “big buddy” to read with, and the smiles on both sides made it clear how special the experience was.
Moments like these truly highlight the strength of our school family and our shared love of reading.
Thank You to Our Wonderful Families
We are incredibly proud of all our children for embracing the day with such joy.
A big thank you also goes to our families for supporting costumes, reading at home and helping make World Book Day so memorable for everyone.
What a fantastic celebration of stories, imagination and community!
