Members of our St Patrick’s family had the privilege of attending a Holocaust Memorial Event hosted by another school within our trust. This year’s theme, Bridging Generations, invited all who attended to reflect on remembrance, shared responsibility, and the importance of unity.

Schools from across the community came together for a thoughtful and beautifully led service prepared by the RE Department. The service encouraged deep reflection on the past, reminding us all of the importance of challenging prejudice and ensuring these stories continue to be shared across generations.

Our pupils created a beautifully decorated stone carrying a message of peace and reconciliation. This special piece was placed within the school’s Memorial Sculpture, symbolising unity, hope, and a shared commitment to remembrance. It was a touching moment that demonstrated the care, compassion, and understanding shown by our young people.

We are truly grateful for the warm welcome, the meaningful service, and the opportunity to come together as a wider community family. Through experiences like this, we continue to honour memory, strengthen compassion, and ensure that remembrance endures with respect and understanding.
